Time Out Global – WordPress Website

In order to bring the global website in to line with the current branding, Time Out required a quick and affordable solution to bring their site up to date. The aim of the project was to redevelop an old and outdated website that was not reflective of the current brand for Time Out, as well as providing an easy to use platform to roll-up content from all Time Out locations. As the focus for the business... Continue reading

Core – SharePoint Public Website

During a recent return to Core, I was asked to assist as a design developer on a re-development of their public facing website. The previous site was very outdated and needed to be brought up to speed both in terms of product but also with modern web technologies. Core wanted to ensure that the website was a showcase for what is possible on SharePoint 2013 but had a short timescale and limited resource... Continue reading

An interesting project arose whilst working for Core Technologies as I was involved working as project lead and design developer on a new intranet using SharePoint 2010 for a charitable organisation. The aim of the project was to redevelop an old and outdated intranet which had been based on a Xerox product called DocuShare. We introduced new features that encouraged sharing, collaboration and knowledge... Continue reading

SharePoint Intranet – Oil and Gas Consultancy

Another key part of my work with the multinational oil and gas consultancy for Core Technologies was being project lead and design developer on their departmental intranet using SharePoint 2010. The client had been using an old intranet site to display complex Excel worksheets (called design tools) along with AutoCad and MathCad technical drawings. This system was adequate in terms of file search... Continue reading

I was commissioned to create a bespoke website for Plug ‘n’ Charge, a mobile charging and advertising company. The site needed to be easy to use and update and provide a platform that could provide regular event updates. I used WordPress as a CMS to ensure the site was easy to brand and the time to market was short, as well as allowing the client ready to use tools to provide blog and event updates... SharePoint Extranet – Facilities Management

Whilst being contracted for Core Technologies I worked as a delivery consultant and design developer on a client portal template using SharePoint 2010 for a facilities management company. For this project I was on site with the client for 3 days and produced a SharePoint site template to be used as the basis for a client portal extranet. This allowed for new client projects to have a site set up to... Continue reading

SharePoint Website – Oil and Gas Consultancy

One of the key clients for Core Technologies was a multinational oil and gas consultancy. They had just undergone a rebranding exercise and wanted a new website to reflect the change. I worked as a project lead and design developer on a public facing SharePoint 2010 website for them. They chose SharePoint as the platform as they had an existing SharePoint 2010 server farm being used for a small internal... Continue reading

CBS Outdoor – Project Management

I was involved as a client project manager during the redevelopment of the websites for CBS Outdoor International. This included being integral to the project from inception and proposal, analysis, time and resource management, development and testing, training and documentation. I reported directly to the International Marketing and International Finance directors. There were initially 11 countries... Continue reading

Le Pont D’Albart – WordPress

Originally this site started life as a static hand coded website that served as a “brochure” for a set of holiday cottages in Normandy, France. In order to make updates and future changes more flexible for the site owners the site was redesigned using WordPress. Using WordPress as a CMS enabled the owners to provide regular text and price updates, but also add an additional language site. A combination... Continue reading
